In Budapest, Hungary there are over 100,000 university students. In the world, there are over 110 million college students, the vast majority of whom have no dynamic witness for Christ on their campus. What is our vision? The Gospel for every student, and a movement of Christian students on every campus! Almost every student grows up without any knowledge of Jesus in this post-communist country. They are very hungry for the Gospel and most of them want to talk about God. The fields are ripe.
Our Vision is to:
- win lost students to Jesus.
- build up students to be people who will walk with Christ for a lifetime!
- send trained students to provide leadership in fulfilling the Great Commission
Our Ministries are:
One-on-One Evangelism - We go to the local universities in Budapest and share the Gospel with students.
FEK - Weekly Campus Club Meeting - We invite those we meet to a weekly club to learn more about Christ.
Freshman Magazine - Every year we give out about 10,000 Evangelistic Student Survival Kits (SSK) to freshmen in the Universities. A survey is attached to the SSK that the students need to fill out. In this survey we ask them if they would like to talk with someone about God! Every year at least 1,000 students give their contact information and indicate that they would like to talk with someone about God. We meet with each one of them personally throughout the semester and many of them are accepting Christ.
Small Groups - We love personal discipleship. Every student in our program is encouraged to be in small groups where there is accountability and growth.
Student Retreats- In the fall and spring we get the students away from school and have programs to build community and deepen their faith.
Speakout Summer Camp - We have english camps in the summers where Christian english speakers come and lead an English camp to build relationships with Hungarians and share the Gospel with them. You should come and work with us.
