SpeakOut 2010
July 02, 2010 Friday
Mom and Dad Partin left Budapest this morning. It has been a truly amazing month with them. The girls absolutely loved playing so much with their grandparents and we loved every bit of time we got to spend together as a family. We are sad today to see them go!
I just wanted to share a little about our summer project and show you a few favorite pictures from the last month.
SPEAKOUT!!!!
We are here at camp and will live here on campus with all the campers and staff for 5 full weeks.
So, what is SpeakOut? It is a "multilayer" project. There is lots of personal and group evangelism, personal discipleship led by our students and staff, leadership development, english tutoring relationship building and lots of sharing Christ. So as you can see there is lots happening.
Tomorrow, on Saturday the first group of campers will arrive. 119 students - mostly nonbelievers
40 american students together with 69 Hungarian student leaders and the CCC staff have been here for over a week to prepare spiritually, and logistically for the following three weeks of camp! This is the largest project of the last 15 years! We count this growth as a blessing from God, and we trust Him as it requires a lot more work to plan out all the details of evangelism, discipleship groups, and all the other event details.
Prayer Request:
- Pray for God to be glorified and for campers to come into saving relationships with Jesus!
- Pray for our family as we serve together for another 3.5 full weeks.
- The building we are in is under construction. So we are shifting a lot of our events around. Please ask that things would go smothly and that camp would not suffer because of the construction.
Enjoy the pictures!! We love and miss you!

Riding the chair lift up to a hiking and lookout point

The look out tower. Fancy and a great view!

Mom and Dad and a great view!

Another cute couple and pretty view

Favorite picture of mine. Isn't she getting so big.

These little sweeties are turning out to be pretty good friends.

Riding in style around Hero Square

At the zoo. Lydia is animal crazy! She loves all animals even stinky old goats.

Out to dinner for one big platter of meat! Yummy!

Joy Elizabeth got a birthday package with some new clothes in it rom Aunt Mac! This was her favorite. She was in love with the dress and really in love with her new flip flops.

We did some grilling and I had a lot of kitchen helpers. :-)

Here we are at SpeakOut. Saturday was Joys birthday and one of the ways we celebrated was by passing out ice cream to everyone at lunch. I can't believe our little girl is 4.

Here is the birhtday girl making some sort of funny face. Ha!

What a sweet family!!!
Happy for you guys!

God is so Awesome! I'm so happy seeing you mid-stride with SpeakOut & a year under your belt. How's the language going? We're still praying for that.
I am amazed at God's unyeilding power as he transforms your family into a strong ministry for College Students. You are so right for being there and strong in your ways. Stay Strong in your continued Faith.
